Police have charged a 43-year-old man with attempted murder after an incident at Karumba on Tuesday which has left another man with serious injuries.

Police said that at around 11.40 pm on Tuesday night, March 19 a 33-year-old man sustained a serious chest wound due to a gunshot in a Norman Street home.
Police said the men known to each other were drinking at a local pub before heading back to the house where the incident occurred.
The injured man was transported to Mount Isa hospital and then transferred to Townsville hospital for further treatment.
