About 5726 Australian schools were part of a nationwide movement celebrating this the 2019 theme of Bullying - No Way!
Mount Isa School Based Police Officer Acting Senior Constable Aimee Sewell said the NDA provides an opportunity to focus on bullying and the changes we can all make to help create safer communities for everyone.
"The NDA gives schools the chance to take action and empower young people to be part of the solution when addressing bullying in their school community."
Sewell assisted welfare staff at Spinifex Junior Campus for the project called 'Linking the Chain'.
"This project provided an opportunity for students to voice steps of actions they can take to stamp out bullying in our community."
"These links will be made into a chain for young people to see how powerful a group can be towards making a difference," Sewell said.
Sewell also provided a stall for young people to access information and resources surrounding cyber safety, youth support and bullying in our community.
