In overcast and muggy conditions, the Dingoes superior numbers made the difference against the dogged Keas.

That was because although both sides had 15 men on the field, Warrigals were able to field a 10-man bench which they regularly rotated on and off the field while the Keas could muster only a couple of subs.

Warrigals got off the mark quickly but after a half hour where they were mostly on the defensive the Keas broke clear to grab their first five pointer of the contest.

The team in blue would have been happy to go into the break just 7-5 down but were struck a psychological blow when a hail mary pass behind their line found only a Warrigals player.

Their converted try made it 12-5 at the break.

They quickly came out firing at the start of the second half to extend their lead to 17-5.

Keas charged down the conversion attempt but were deemed to have moved before the kick and Warrigals got the extras at the second time of asking.

Keas played inside their own half for the next 30 minutes as they hung in but they grabbed a toehold in the game to score a breakaway try.

The conversion miss from directly under the posts at 19-10 was costly as it left Keas needing two scores to win or draw.

In the end the Dingoes sealed the game with a try with 4 minutes to play and ran out comfortable 26-10 winners.

This weekend Euros play Cloncurry in the elimination semi while Warrigals play Keas for the right to qualify directly to the grand final on April 13.
