Aaron Pierce, Toni Boucher and Rhyston Williamson all received promotions for their valuable service with QFES at Mount Isa station.
Mount Isa born and bred Aaron Pierce was the first to receive his promotion to station officer of Mount Isa.
Mr Pierce started in 1998 as an auxiliary, became a full time permanent in 2005 and over the years has progressed through the ranks to senior firefighter and now station officer.
"I had a trade prior to joining the QFES but realised I wanted to do something else with my life and give back to the community," Mr Pierce said.
"I looked into other branches like QPS, QAS but concluded the fire service was the way to go for me.
"I now plan to stay in Mount Isa in the long term future and enjoy my new role as Mount Isa station officer."
Toni Boucher was also promoted to Mount Isa station officer - the first female station officer in the Northern region.
"I started with QFES in 2001 as an auxiliary and I also did a few years with QAS but later became a full time firefighter in 2006," Ms Boucher said.
"After having my third child I joined the auxiliary as it was something I could do part time and felt like I was actually achieving something and helping, while giving me time with my kids.
"It is an exciting job, you're doing things for other people, you're achieving for yourself and you also have the good work and home life balance."
Rhyston Williamson joined the team six years ago and was promoted to auxiliary lieutenant on Wednesday.
"I applied for the promotion late 2018 and had interviews and confirmation in January this year," Mr Williamson said.
"When I was young I watched the guys work and then from 10 years old I wanted to be a firefighter and here I am.
"My ultimate goal is to be a full time firie and to help others and the community.
"Eventually I think I will transfer out of Mount Isa hopefully to Townsville/ Mackay area."
All three firefighters were recognised with a promotion ceremony and morning tea at the Mount Isa fire station with colleagues and senior officials in attendance.
