Sick of filling out police reports
There is a gang of juvenile delinquents running amok in Mount Isa with apparent impunity despite the trail of destruction they leave behind for the law-abiding citizens of society to clean up. Why aren't they in jail?

Because psychologists are under the impression that because they have a university degree they are intelligent.
A university degree means you have been taught to follow a process and tested to make sure you understand it.
That is why the richest people in the world don't have them; because they are different to others and think outside the box.
The person who came up with the idea of restorative justice must be sitting on a beach in the Bahamas sipping on a Pina Colada thinking I can't believe they bought it.
A germ commits a crime and under restorative justice they meet with their victim to hear how their behaviour has affected them. This is where the Psych people have it wrong. They are basing the system on people with normal emotions but the perpetrators don't have them.
Better yet they know how to behave to get through the other side so they can get back out and continue on their spree.
Restorative justice follows a process and those people in charge don't understand that the criminals know the process and how to work it. Hang your head in a shamed manner, act contrite and say sorry.
There is no respect for elders anymore; they are now in fact prey.
There is no respect for authority as these germs don't care about the police and have no fear of jail - they look forward to it because they get a free feed, a shower, safe place to sleep and clean clothes. Notice there was no education component in there.
Education is the key to changing a person's circumstances and yet any day of the week you can drive around this town and count a 100 kids not at school.
Yet it is a legislative requirement children attend school. So which of the 100 government departments and agencies in town are looking after this?
There is a law in Queensland regarding the actions of gangs called the Vicious Lawless Association Disestablishment Act 2013.
Under this act any "group of three or more persons by whatever name called, whether associated formally or informally and whether the group is legal or illegal" is considered an association.
It was brought in primarily to target organised crime and specifically bikies.
The definition refers to the little gangs of villains stalking our streets because no doubt they are gangs. To watch them perform a crime is a piece of art.
They all know what they are doing and without any communication do what has to be done to break into a car or house to steal petrol or cash.
The stupid thing is that they will smash a car window to get a dollar in change.
So the victim has to pay for a new window, take the time to get the car to the repair place and be inconvenienced.
The do-gooders will say "but what is forcing these kids to commit these crimes."
My answer is why wasn't that found out the first time they were arrested!
These kids have wrap sheets longer than a Usain Bolt stride and have been arrested multiple times. Yet every day you can see smashed bottles on the roads, broken windows and graffiti in our town.
The only solution is to remove them from the environment they are in and readjust them in another.
So if they are gangs they are not allowed to congregate together and doing so is a crime.
As soon as they do so they should be arrested and taken somewhere where they undergo education in English, Maths, Science and so forth. That way there is a chance they may become educated and be able to contribute to society.
Until they are they will be just a generation that will suck on society's teat while biting the hand that feeds it.
