Thursday April 11 is "construction day" where kids can build a cardboard cubby house or car, then build a road construction in the sandpit, and finally build, nail and glue with wood.
On Friday April 12 the little ones can be a chef for a day and learn all about the utensils, measurements and mixing, then cook their own pizza lunch with ingredients provided by the centre and finally learn to bake cupcakes and enjoy them for afternoon tea.
Cootharinga's school holiday program is from 8.30am to 2.30pm during the holidays from April 8-18 at the Mount Isa Special School.
It's open to kids aged 5 to 15 and a great chance to learn new skills and make friends.
