Major flooding continues at Marion Downs on the Georgina River and at Glengyle on Eyre Creek near Bedourie though no significant rainfall is expected over the next few days.

River levels have eased below the minor flood level along the Georgina River downstream to Glenormiston and the Burke River downstream to Boulia.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs peaked at 6.35m around 11:20am Wednesday April 10 (higher than the December 2000 flood of 6.25m) and is at 5.05m and falling. .
River levels will remain high on the Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs:and flooding will continue for the next few days.
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie peaked at 5.28m (just below the January 2009 flood of 5.38m) and is currently at 5.10m and falling slowly with major flood levels.
Eyre Creek at Glengyle peaked at around 4.90m on Wednesday (this is the same level reached in February 2009) with major flooding.
Bedourie remains cut off from Boulia, Birdsville and Windorah.
