Almost $15,000 was distributed among Copper City Cycling Club, Mount Isa Hockey Association and Sikaran Martial Arts received almost $15,000 for upgrades.
Copper City Cycling Club received $5000 to purchase a trailer for come-and-try clinics and events. The trailer will allow convenience for the club and promote the club to help their growth.
Mount Isa Hockey Association received $5000 for disability access cement pathways to the new amenities block.
Sikaran Martial Arts was presented $4895 for an upgraded security system with internal and external security cameras at their dojo on Transmission Street.
Mount Isa City Council mayor Joyce McCulloch said it was great to see so many community groups doing great things for their clubs and sport in Mount Isa.
"Sporting clubs and community organisations are a vital part of the Mount Isa community," Cr McCulloch said.
"It is these sporting organisations that help improve the quality of the city, providing great opportunities for our kids and the community.
"I thank these clubs for everything they do for our community, particularly with promoting and increasing sporting participation amongst people of all ages, and congratulate them for their success in Council's latest round of Community Grants."
