In August last year, there was a change in ownership although the property will continue to trade as ibis Styles Mount Isa under the Accor umbrella.
General Manager Jessica James arrived at the property in December 2018 and said they have many exciting projects coming up for the property.
"One of the first projects is to offer not only the Mount Isa residents local rates on accommodation but also North West Queensland," Ms James said.
This includes Hughenden, Karumba and all places in between.
"We are the shopping hub for many rural and remote people - the main shopping precinct is a short walk away- if we can make their stay more comfortable and inexpensive then we are all winning."
Local rates start from $99 and are subject to terms and availability.
"Initially we encourage bookings to come directly through us, so call or email the Hotel and we can assist you with any questions you may have," Ms James said.
On check-in a drivers licence with a current address has to be sighted.
