An 18 hole stableford was played on Saturday April 13 in cool and windy conditions with the winner gracing the top of the leaderboard with a mammoth score.
The ever consistent Wayne Blackman won the competition on 47 points and the runner-up was Jamie Stewart on 41 points.
The ball run down included Allan Miles, Richard Bawden, Matt Langfield, Berkley Gowland and Ray Campbell
Nearest to Pins for the A Grade was Jamie Stewart on fifth and Ted Choice on 17th.
The B Grade was Berkley Gowland on fourth and Tyrone Boccos on 14th.
The C Grade was Jim Cameron on first, Lee Pullman on 10th and Conrad McGelliot on 14th.
The club house is closed on Easter Friday, but there will be a three day completion over Saturday, Sunday and Monday with the best two rounds of the weekend declared the winner.
Social players are welcomed over the weekend after 11:30am.
On Saturday April 6 the Mount Isa Golf Club held the monthly medal with a great turnout of 38 players.
The course is looking great and the weather was perfect with some good scores coming in.
The A grade was a closely fought battle with the winner Matt Briant getting the prize with a sub-par round of 70/66 just nudging out Mark Thinee on a countback with a score of 76/66.
With the club championship not far away these two golfers will be hard to beat.
On his comeback game Dr Josh Pouesi with a score of 89/75 just beat John Dunne 89/75 on a count back in the B Grade.
The C Grade was taken out by Wayne Blackman with a score of 100/72, with form like this it won't be long before we see Wayne's handicap dropping. The runner up was Mark Bellamy on a countback with 99/74.
Ball run down included Josh Munakoa, Ian Brown, Ted Choice, Bill Ellis and Jim Cameron.
Nearest to Pins for A Grade was Mark Thinee on eighth and Allan Miles on 12th.
B Grade was Garry Ferguson on fifth and John Dunne on 18th.
