A dominant first round secured a five-stroke win for newcomer Renee Blackman in the Panel Repairs Easter Carnival at Mount Isa Golf Club.

The 36-hole event was held on Saturday and Sunday and attracted a field of 15 players.
At the completion of the first round, Blackman carded an impressive 66 nett well clear of all her rivals.
Renee continued her impressive performance on Sunday with steady middle of the fairway drives, accurate chips and putting earning her an equally impressive nett of 71 on the final day.
Blackman's combined score of 137 nett placed her well clear of runner-up Auretta Perrin who finished the competition on 142 nett.
Rebecca Nankivell carded the best score on the first day with 70 nett while Ulla Allen 69 nett on the final round gave her honours on Sunday.
Nearest to the pin prizes on Saturday for A Grade - Auretta Perrin (5th hole), B Grade - Rebecca Nankivell (9th hole) and C Grade - Linda King on the 17th hole.
A Grade - Kirra White (17th hole), B Grade - Liz Jakeman (9th hole) and C Grade - Linda King (17th hole) took pin honours in the final round.
Earlier in the week Elayne White claimed Wednesdays Par Event recording +3 for her final score.
White survived a count back from Rebecca Nankivell to take the win with Nankivell relegated to runner up spot for her score of +3.
Nearest the pins were won by A Grade - Auretta Perrin on hole 17 and B Grade - Rebecca Nankivell on hole 17.
Next weekend the ladies play a stroke event in preparation for their 54-hole Club Championships held over the May Day weekend.
