Mayor Joyce McCulloch said the Isa Street Festival had grown in size and popularity over the past three years and had become council's feature event.
"We love that we can put on a free event for the community and add a special element to Rodeo Week in Mount Isa," Cr McCulloch said.
"The positive feedback we have received over the years has been overwhelming, and now with the addition of the Isa Street Parade, it is truly a festival for the whole community to enjoy and celebrate."
One of the most popular additions over the years has been the headline act, with performers such as Jessica Mauboy and Isaiah Firebrace, and this year we are happy to announce Rai Thistlethwayte of Thirsty Merc fame, with his band.
Rai will bring his love of classic rock, pop and jazz to the Isa Street Festival, which will also feature local performers, food and market stalls, kids games and activities, and a licensed beer garden.
Football legend Johnathan Thurston will also make an appearance at this year's Isa Street Festival and Street Parade and attend a meet and greet opportunity at the Community Connect Zone with free family rides and entertainment.
This year's Isa Street Parade will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Riversleigh Fossil fields discovery with the theme "Living Fossils".
