The classical quintet will be traveling through the same landscape performing in 12 towns including Richmond, Cloncurry and Mount Isa.
As part of the tour Topology have teamed up with the Queensland State Library to create "Queensland at Home" - a time capsule of vintage film accompanied by a live original score performed by Topology that paints an evocative portrait of life in Queensland dating back to the early 20th Century.
The live musical performance is an original score by Topology's Robert Davidson making Queensland at Home an experience of both sight and sound.
Christa Powell, Creative Director - Topology said the tour would include composition workshops as part of Topology's Top Up Regional programs.
"The Queensland at Home production is by far the largest tour undertaken by Topology. By the end of June, we will have worked with communities and students and presented Queensland at Home in 42 towns in regional Queensland," Ms Powell said.
"John Babbage, our Top Up Program Director, has traveled over 40,000km to deliver composition workshops with students."
She said his journey was a bit easier than than Ludwig Leichhardt's expedition which left the Darling Downs, on 1 October 1844 on a 4800km journey to the Northern Territory.
"The Queensland at Home tour traverses much of the same country that was explored in 1844 - 1845 by Ludwig Leichhardt," she said.
"So, visiting this region with an insight into life of Queenslanders the early 1900s is a great connection for some of these communities to Queensland's history."
