Given that Scott Morrison says over and over and over that we just can't afford amounts like this for anything at all, well, it does seem that he is being rather generous.
But a point of detail: is climate change still a load of crap, or not?
We wouldn't that money to be wasted on something which mightn't exist.
And for the moment at least, Tony Abbott is still in Parliament, whereas Malcolm Turnbull is not.
Scott, please explain.

Queensland is slipping down the rankings
Queensland has fallen further behind Tasmania and retained sixth place on the State of the States report, released by CommSec last week.
Queensland ranks in the bottom half of the economic ladder, with smaller states like Tasmania and South Australia putting Queensland to shame.
Sadly, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and her incompetent Treasurer Jackie Trad just don't have a plan to make Queensland an economic powerhouse.
Our economy is sinking under the weight of Annastacia Palaszczuk's five new taxes, and CommSec identified our jobs market as a weakness.
Labor is bad with money and balancing the books.
Queenslanders looking for work are suffering while this Labor Government does nothing.
There are 162,000 Queenslanders looking for work and they deserve a Government that will support them.
Queensland has one of the worst unemployment rates in the nation, a complete lack of business confidence, and our construction and manufacturing industries are flagging fast.
Only the LNP, with its commitments to no new taxes and to cutting red tape, has a plan to bring Queensland's economy back up the economic ranks.
Labor isn't working and Queensland can't afford to lose any more jobs.

Luke Osman When you're on a public platform, and adored by many, you can't spread hate speech. While people are allowed to believe what they want, you cannot spread hateful speech that will effect and hurt a whole part of society and then defend yourself by saying it's religious thought.
If we believed everything in the Bible and used it to justify hate speech, we could speak strongly and hatefully about women, different races, different religions and much more. But would that be okay?
Absolutely not.
So neither is what Folau said.
Russ Debuss It's worked for one nation so why not these guys?
