Blake Keith Wayne Willis was born on Mother's Day (May 12) at Mount Isa Hospital at 12.04pm weighing 8 pounds and 15 ounces.
Baby Blake came into the world two days before his due date after a seven hour, natural labour and was the second generation to be born on Mother's Day, sharing his birthday with his mum.
"It was a nice surprise, I didn't think he was going to come so soon," Kayla said.
"It was a nice little surprise and I am looking forward to sharing Mother's Day and my birthday with him each year."

Kayla and Malcolm said they were overjoyed with the delivery of a healthy little boy.
"It was lovely to have a little boy, now we have one of each," she said.
"We have a daughter also and she was not too happy when we first told her about her new sibling, but she is slowly warming up to the idea of having a little brother."
Kayla plans to return home from hospital on Tuesday.
