The weekend competition at the Mount Isa Golf Club was the Ulla Allen Monthly Medal event for May and was once again hotly contested by the lady golfers.

Battling high winds resulted in close finishing scores with Judy Fangrath coming up trumps to take home the trophy with a 75 nett.
A count back was required to settle the runner up prize when two players carded a 76 nett. Angie Sciascia came up trumps after the count back to take the honours.
Kirra White was awarded a ball run down prize with Alison Gordon on 77 nett. Nearest the pins were won by Kirra White on hole 2 and 14 and Michelle Cullen on 8.
Liz Jakeman claimed the ladies Stableford event in the mid-week competition with a whopping 42 points, runner up was Margie McDonald for her equally impressive 38 points.
Angie Sciascia's accuracy around the greens rewarded her with pin shots on holes 8, 14 and 17, the final pin on offer going to Margie McDonald on hole 4.
Next weekend the ladies pair up with the male golfers to compete in the 36 hole Mixed Club Foursomes competition.
