Principal David Hardy and Acting Senior Sergeant Adam King were involved in the ceremony where Constable Lincoln Leneham made his oath of adoption to the school.
'Officer Lincoln' will still perform his role as a first response police officer however he will also take time where possible to visit the students during their meal breaks and attend classrooms to conduct presentations and attend school events.
The Adopt-a-Cop program has been running for over 30 years and in the Mount Isa District, there are currently over 30 police officers working with local schools as an Adopt-a-Cop.
We are also very fortunate to have Police Liaison Officers (PLOs) working as Adopt-a-PLO, in a number of our schools.
