They say size doesn't matter but it does seem to matter when it comes to the Isa St Bridge.

This morning I wrote about Wednesday's demolition of the Isa St Bridge, which I fondly remember being called the "small bridge".
However when we posted the article on Facebook, some commenters were quick to pull me up on the name.
"It's called the 'little bridge' smh," wrote Tom Wpa.
I had to look up the text talk "smh" which means "shakes my head" and it wasn't only Tom shaking his head.
Others agreed it was "little" not "small" though one person offered the suggestion it was "Alf's Bridge".
"Little bridge. As opposed to the big bridge," Emma Harman said.
The dictionary was no help. It defined the meaning of the word small as "little".
My editor Derek Barry was no help either.
A relative newbie, here barely three years, he'd never heard the bridge being described as small or little.
"I have no idea, why don't you do a poll," Derek said.
I rang who I considered the Oracle in these matters, Deputy Mayor Phil Barwick.
"The small bridge is a contemporary term for it but the real name is little bridge," Cr Barwick said.
Seems I am very mistaken and it is little not small but one thing is sure - there is certainly little of it left after Wednesday.
