Commonwealth Bank pledged to donate $500,000 nationally to recognise organisations that make a difference in the communities in which we live and work.
Each Commonwealth Bank branch was allocated $500 to donate to causes important to their local community.
The Mount Isa branch team voted to support the work of Mount Isa Meals on Wheels who have been supporting the local community for more than 50 years.
Commonwealth Bank Mount Isa Branch Manager Vicky Ryan said Meals on Wheels supported those people in the local community who may be in their senior years and require not only support with meals, but also regular visits to monitor health and wellbeing of clients who may not see anyone else during the day.
"We're very excited to have the opportunity to support Mount Isa Meals on Wheels," Ms Ryan said.
"In particular, the great work they do with seniors in our local community who need support with nutritious meals.
"At CommBank, our people are committed to driving positive change within their communities to make a difference locally and for all Australians."
