Also present were representatives from the Queensland Police Service, Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Fire and Emergency Service who participated in a range of activities including face painting, artwork, obstacle course and dress ups.
Many students enjoyed dressing in police uniforms.
Acting Sergeant Aimee Sewell said the most popular activity was dressing up in police uniform and sitting inside the police vehicle
"Many students said that when they grow up they want to become police officer and contribute to the community."
Under 8's Week is an event proudly initiated by Early Childhood Australia.
This program has been running for 60 years across Australia and many schools throughout Mount Isa participate in this event.
"This was also a valuable opportunity to reinforce protective behaviours with young people in our community as well as their right to feel safe at all times," Acting Sergeant Sewell said.
"We encourage these students to be able to identify a safety network that included the emergency services who were in attendance on the day."
Acting Sergeant Sewell thanked Central State School for allowing them to share their important messages to the younger community.
