The six race program should not disappoint with 61 nominated horses and just short of $70,000 up for grabs.
Mount Isa Race Club president Mick Tully said he was shocked to hear there were nearly 2000 pre-booked patrons.
"We've had to open up the Glencore pavilion to cater for the amount of people coming," Mr Tully said.
"There will be 600 in the pavilion, 400 on the lawn, 140 on the patio, 100 in the members and 100 in public bar that have already booked.
"We are also expecting another 500 people walking in, especially being a 30 degree day the track side it will be beautiful."
Mr Tully said he wasn't sure what attracted so many people to the Isa Cup race day.
"I really don't know, however we've had great numbers at nearly all our race meetings this year," he said.
"We have been quite fortunate and I think people are starting to realise that it is a good day out and they enjoy themselves."
