Avid golfers have the opportunity to show off their skills at the City of Mount Isa Open Championships with a week of competition.
The event kicks off at the Mount Isa Golf Club on Saturday, June 29 with the Men's and Ladies' Open Foursomes.
Other events across the week include the Steve Both Memorial Trophy, City of Mount Isa Open Championships and the Men's and Ladies' Open.
The open will finish off with a grand presentation dinner at the club on Sunday evening, July 7.
Mount Isa Golf Club manager Margie McDonald said golf was a fun and relaxing sport that people of all ages can play.
"We provide a venue for people to enjoy a fun sport and we assist the community by allowing use of our facilities where we can," she said.
Mount Isa Golf Club has an 18 hole grass greened golf course with the provision of 10 motorised carts for social and competition play.
There is a driving range for those to hone their skills and regular member competitions, as well as some fun social competitions.

"Our facilities have been upgraded in recent years and make a great place to hold an event or a function."
The club has been running for more than three decades and has two full-time staff and many volunteers.
Roles include club manager, greenkeeper, president, handicappers, club captains, committee members and various volunteers helping with the course and major events.
"We are a not for profit community focused organisation with approximately 180 members and attract in excess 3500 social players each year," said Margie.

Margie has been involved with the club for more than two years and enjoys meeting many people and seeing people enjoy a sport that is for anyone.
