At Friday's official Show opening the Kalkatunga Sundowners dancers were introduced by Sheree Blakely and performed three dances, and were praised by mayor Joyce McCulloch.
"This is a true rendition of the country on which we stand, the land of the Kalkadoon people," Cr McCulloch said.
"Thank you so much Sheree and it is so good you have taken the time to put a lot of heart and effort into bringing your culture back and sharing it with us."
Cr McCulloch also praised new Show president Ann Pittis.
"This is Ann's first year as Show president and our community should be mighty proud of Ann because she and her committee has done an amazing job," the mayor said.
"The Show is an old event in Mount Isa has and it's been 10 or 12 years since it was held in Kalkadoon Park, but I've got to say they might have changed venues but the old ethos of what a show is about remains - we've got rodeo, the rides and our amazing community showcasing their skills in art, photography and cooking in the pavilion."
Show president Ann Pittis thanked the crowd for coming along and supporting the Show and also thanked the committee, volunteers and sponsors for making it possible.
"They have given so many hours of their time to get everything together for everybody," Ms Pittis said.
"Hopefully we've given you something you'll all enjoy."

A welcome return to the show was the outback prince and princess competition first the first time since 2016, with categories from aged zero to four, four to eight, and over eight.
Organiser Lesley-Anne Peterson said this was in lieu of the Miss Showgirl competition and it was about what outback kids liked and wanted to do.
"I hope we build on this, it's really outback," Ms Peterson said
"It isn't about dressing up and being frilly it's about where we live, what we do and how we love this town and just have fun."
The contest was joined by traditional favourites such as the bronco branding and the PBR, while the Rooftop Express horse show entertained during half time in the show.
The show concluded with fireworks over Buchanan Park on Saturday night.
