At 12.30am on Friday June 21, police went to Milthorpe Dr where an altercation had taken place between two men, known to one another.
Police said one grabbed an item from a kitchen drawer while the other, restraining him on the floor, received a laceration to his back.
Police said when assisting the victim to restrain the man, one officer was kicked in the legs and stomach multiple times. A 23-year-old Townview man was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm-domestic violence offence and serious assault of a police officer. He will appear in Mount Isa Magistrates Court on July 11.
At 2am June 21, police attended a Hercules Rd 000 call for a wounding. A woman stabbed a man in the stomach before fleeing. The victim sustained a wound to the left side of the lower chest, requiring surgery.
The man and woman are known to each other.
A 22-year-old Sunset woman has been charged with grievous bodily harm- DV offence and will appear in court on August 12.
