More then 80 nominated competitors enjoyed a picturesque morning at Mount Isa as they particpated in a five kilometre or 10 kilometre course.
Event organiser Alison Whitehead said it was a glorious morning for the competitors.
"We had a later start to the previous games held in 2017, but it was nice weather for running and not overly hot with a shaded course for competitors," Ms Whitehead said.
"The course started at Warina Park with the five kilometre participants going towards Lions Youth Camp and up the hill for some nice views of the lake, and back.
"The 10km course ran around the back of the lake towards Hazlington Station and looped around."
The five kilometre winner was Jayden Boshoff with a time of 27 minutes and 48 seconds. second place was Connor Boshoff with 32.44 and closely behind in third was Abby Benson with 32.53.
"All these place-getters are under 17-years-old which is great to see a few younger kids joining in," Ms Whitehead said.
The 10km winner was Derek Skora with a time of 47.28, followed by Josh Brock with 48.49 and Matteusz Skora with 51.45.
"We had a big variety of ages take place with our oldest competitor being Gottfried Kreutz at 82 years old," Ms Whitehead said.
"It was a very enjoyable day and we hope to host it again at the next Great Western Games."
