Police said that sometime between Monday May 20, and Friday June 21, a man temporarily residing at a Spence St tourist accommodation entered the room of a permanent resident and removed a bank card and attached piece of paper listing the PIN.
Police said that on Friday June 27 at 4.10am, the man used the bankcard to withdraw money from a Mount Isa ATM.
On Sunday June 30, police located the man at a Cloncurry service station and arrested him.
A 47-year-old Mount Isa man has been charged with two counts of stealing and is due to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court later today, Monday July 1.
