We know that some people believe there is no remedy or return from the drug of ice, for example. But we want all Queenslanders to know it is possible to recover and lead a productive life.

Our $622.8 million 2019-20 health budget for Central Queensland alone, focuses on tackling drugs such as ice and the devastating effect it has on individuals, families and communities.

As part of our five-year $100 million Ice Strategy, the Government is also investing $14.3 million to build a dedicated 42-bed drug rehabilitation facility in Rockhampton. This facility will service the whole Central Queensland and Mackay regions and will include 32 beds for residential rehabilitation, eight beds for withdrawal stage treatment, two family units and the capacity for a non-residential day program.

A preferred site for the facility has been identified, with further negotiations and consultation needed before the site can be named.

We've also committed to having design plans and a detailed business case completed by the end of this year.

The 2019-20 Budget also directly supports Central Queensland with significant expenditure including $622.8 million for health services, including for the Central Queensland Hospital.

Only the Palaszczuk Government has a serious plan to help all Queenslanders across our State.

Queenslanders have been slugged with nine new or higher taxes under the Palaszczuk Labor Government.

Labor's taxes will drive business away, cost jobs, and tax money from the hip pocket of hardworking Queenslanders.

The new and increased taxes in force since the start of July will take billions out of the Queensland economy.

Royalties are being raised on the petroleum sector, land taxes and surcharges have been lifted, and this is on top of the five taxes that Labor announced in last year's Budget.

And despite these new taxes on Queenslanders, debt is on track to hit more than $90 billion over the forward estimates.

Annastacia Palaszczuk will rack up a debt bill of around $67,000 for the typical Queensland family.

Labor's fiscal principles are in the waste bin and they can't manage Queensland's economy.

Queenslanders need to take a stand against the Palaszczuk Labor Government's taxes and economic mismanagement at the 2020 election.

Only a Deb Frecklington LNP Government will implement our Economic Plan to build job-creating infrastructure, rule out new taxes and support small business in Queensland.

We went to John Campbell Miles Lookout and saw the bright lights of Mount Isa.
