Tuesday July 16 saw Cloncurry's Centacare Neighbourhood Centre and Playgroup Queensland host an Under 5's playgroup and the cool morning didn't deter locals with more then 120 people in attendance.
Community development coordinator Jo Moore said the event was very well received.
"There was an abundance of activities including messy play as well as Naidoc Week themed events including painting and storytelling," Ms Moore said.
"Blazer from the local fire service showed up and handed out fire safety kits to the kids and we also handed out prizes throughout the morning."
Local schools also attended, including Cloncurry Kindy, Cloncurry State School P-12 and St Joseph's Catholic School.
