About 120 riders usually take part in ride from Mount Isa to the Northern Territory border which featured camaraderie and sportsmanship while raising money for a good cause.
Event coordinator Steve Carson said this event attracted people for a number of reasons.
"If you ask me now it would be the challenge, camaraderie, the banter and overnight stay in Camooweal. If you ask me at the 150 kilometre mark I would give you a completely different answer," Mr Carson joked.
"We get a lot of people in teams come back who did 50 kilometres last year and want to do 100 this year, so they are progressively challenging themselves.
"The number of individuals who do the whole event solo is increasing each year, all doing something worthwhile."
Mr Carson said there was much fun had on the ride between participants.
"The Border Babes are back again this year and will have about 10 to 15 people in their team," he said.
"I think most of those are for the beer, wine and cheese en route.
"There are people who usually don't get on a bike but decide to take part in this event purely because it is for charity."
In past years, the money raised from the Border Ride has been donates to PCYC, Paws, Hoofs and Claws, Royal Flying Doctor Service, Legacy and Bush Kids.
