Owner of Mount Isa Furniture and Bedding and newly opened business Country Style Living, Ms Winsor took a leap of faith when the shop became available to showcase her fine homewares.
"It was a bit spontaneous really, the previous business owner offered a lot of the suppliers to me and the position of taking over the lease," Ms Winsor said.
"I had thought about expanding the business at one point, but I just didn't know where or when the perfect time was.
"So when this space became available I thought I'd give it a go and hoped Mount Isa would support me."
Ms Winsor said the items showcased in her new shop included the country style that Mount Isa loved.
"Country Style Living showcases similar style to Mount Isa Furniture and Bedding but not the same products," she said.
"Gifts and homewares over in Mount Isa Furniture and Bedding have been well received for the last 18 months. So I thought I would expand on that with similar suppliers, a new location and some new suppliers too.
"We stock some big brands like glasshouse, MOR boutique body range, Tilley soaps plus a range of gift and homewares."
Since opening the shop, Ms Winsor said the response had been very positive.
"We have had a lot of foot traffic which we don't get at the other shop, so lots of people browsing and like our range," she said.
"We also have a kids play area and offer gift wrapping for those last minute gifts."
Country Style Living is located across from Bell and Moir on Rodeo Drive and open seven days a week 9am to 5pm weekdays, 9am to 1pm Saturday and 10am to 1pm Sunday.
