Thousands of locals and tourists lined the streets of Mount Isa on Wednesday night (August 7) to celebrate the annual Isa Rodeo.

More than 30 exhibits dressed up and decorated floats in the theme "Living Fossils" to help celebrate the 60th Isa Rodeo Anniversary and the 25th anniversary of the Riversleigh Fossil Site.
There festival moved down Miles Street and featured prehistoric animals, cavemen and jungle decorations.
- The winner for Best Business Entry is Isa Sheet Metal. Isa Sheet Metal presented several metal sculptures on a decorated ute.
- The winner for Best Community Entry is St Mary MacKillop Early Learning Centre. St Mary's put a lot of effort into their float and had high participation.
- The winner for Best School Entry is Townview State School. Townview put in a huge effort this year and scored high in every category.
- The winner for Best Themed Entry is St Kieran's Catholic School. St Kieran's had a large walking group, with everyone in theme, and were an outstanding entry.
Each winner will receive $1000 in prizemoney.
After the parade, patrons moved to West Street to continue the celebration with free a concert from Rai Thistlethwayte.
Food vendors and games were also on display and had the opportunity to meet ex-Cowboys legend Johnathon Thurston.
