At 6.45pm on August 6, it is alleged a boy approached a shopping trolley, removed a wallet and ran from a Marian St business. At 2.50pm, on Wednesday August 7, it is alleged the same boy was intercepted on Simpson St, riding a suspected stolen bicycle. A 13-year-old Townview boy has been charged with one count each of stealing, trespass, unlawful possession of suspected stolen property and breach of bail and will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
A 15-year-old Mornington girl has been charged with six counts of stealing, relating to a number of shop stealing offences committed at various stores in Mount Isa, between June 2, and August 5.
It is alleged the girl entered the stores on various occasions, in most cases with associates, and removed cans of deodorant, hair spray and food items.
She will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
