This is the second year the international challenge was held and North Americans Rhett Fitzpatrick, Shelby Boisjoli and Jessy Davis all praised the rodeo and the whole were Australian experience.
Saddle bronc rider Rhett Fitzpatrick from Saskatchewan, Canada said it had been an exciting and new adventure.
"This has been my first time to Mount Isa and I have loved it. The hospitality has been fantastic and the venue and rodeo here is world class," Fitzpatrick said.
Canadian Shelby Boisjoli had extra special reason to enjoy the weekend having won the ladies breakaway roping contest.
"I love Australia. It's my first time here and it has been so amazing, the people here are so lovely," Boisjoli said.
Bareback rider Jessy Davis said he was glad he made the trip out to Australia before retirement.
"I came from Montana USA to compete here in the bareback bronc ride. I have been on the verge of retirement for some time now and have never been to Australia," Davis said.
"These freaking Australians they breed them tough out here. Every time we compete against them back home they always do really well. This whole event has been organised so well, I am so glad I came out."
Jessy Davis proved his toughness, finishing second in the open bareback ride on Sunday.
The Internationals defeated the Australian champions 7-1 to finish the rodeo in style.
