Peter Wayne Snodgrass, who has admitted to more than 200 charges, appeared before the Supreme Court to hear from his victims on Monday.

Former victims' rights commissioner Michael O'Connell, who prepared a statement on behalf of nine victims, said they had their trust betrayed.

"He had no right to deliberately humiliate the victims who trusted him," the statement said.

"His crimes have had devastating and profound effects on some of his victims.

"Disbelief and shock as well as well as disappointment, frustration, even anger, were common reactions."

One victim told the court Snodgrass lectured clients on living with integrity and was "the person you'd least suspect"

"I trusted this man with my spine and my mindset," she said.

"I kept trying to reconcile the person I thought I knew with the person who did this to me, who did this to all of us."

Snodgrass has previously said a sex addiction drove him to film clients, including some children, on hidden cameras between 2012 and 2017.

After several statements were read, some victims left as Snodgrass delivered a letter of apology from the dock.

"What I've done is inexcusable," he said.

"I am extremely aware of the hurt, embarrassment, pain and anxiety I have caused.

"The guilt and shame ought to lie exclusively with me."

Snodgrass said years of unresolved grief and trauma affected him in ways he was unconscious of and he had reached "crisis point".

"I made a terrible mistake in getting lost in the world of pornography and sexual gratification to numb out my emotional pain," he said.

"I will never take what I've done lightly ... it makes me feel sick and self-repugnant."

He told those in court the films or photos were never distributed and all have been taken by the police, though many victims expressed fears the images have been published elsewhere.

Justice Anne Bampton remanded Snodgrass in custody for sentencing on a date to be set.
