At around 6.40pm on Saturday August 10, police said a man and woman were sitting out the front of a set of units in Miles St, drinking alcohol.
Police said the man began to tease the woman, and she allegedly stabbed him in the left shoulder with a steak knife, causing a three to four centimetre laceration.
Police said the man and woman were known to one another.
A 45-year-old Doomadgee woman was charged with one count each of wounding and contravention of a domestic violence order.
She has been remanded in custody to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on October 14.
