Parkside dominated most of the game but it was Atlas that came back during the final clutch moments of the game to snatch a late one goal victory (4-3) and earn themselves a spot in the grand final.
Parkside A goalkeeper Jason Howard said the game was anyone's.
"It was a competitive game that could have gone either way really but we went down in the last two minutes of the game," Howard said.
"We probably played better throughout the game we just didn't put our chances away and Atlas did.
"There was plenty of chances for us to score but our accuracy was off."
The top two goal scorers of the competition Parkside A striker Josh Filewood and Atlas striker Andrew Frahm both showed stats never lie bagging a double each way.
Howard said next week he was confident of a comeback against Isaroos in the elimination major semi-final.
"It has been a close season so both sides are in with a chance. Both teams will be at full strength but I think our experience will get us home in the end," he said.
Parkside A play Isaroos at 6pm on Saturday September 7.
