Perspectives from Australian, Turkish, French artists of the world heritage area Riversleigh will be on display at the Outback at Isa from September 6 to October 20 as part of the Riversleigh Art Exhibition.
Australian artist Rowena Paine-Murphy grew up in outback Australia with mother nature as her best friend. She said she had given the viewer a deep understanding for the beauty and mystery of the bush.
"My story is about understanding the ancientness of our country. I think a lot of us take this for granted," Ms Paine-Murphy said.
"Riversleigh today contrasts ancient dry and barren landscapes bisected by beautiful rivers, there is a lesson in evolution in this amazing part of the world."
French artist Michele Savoye told her story through clay and petrified wood.
"Riversleigh, through the window into the past and present, is very versatile. My use of petrified wood symbolises the beginning and extinction of the universe," Ms Savoye said.
Turkish artist Ozlem Yeni said her interpretation was about the micro and macro cosmos.
"Understanding Riversleigh and the evolution of life allowed me to share the interpretation of the journey between the micro and macro world, and consequently give an understanding of the meaning of existence," Ms Yeni said.
The Riversleigh art exhibition is located upstairs at the Outback at Isa and is free for all.
