After winning the National Golden Gloves Title, the 12-year-old is now bound for the 2019 Queensland Under 19's State Championship on September 14-15.
Linkyn had a convincing win over his Toowoomba opponent Matari Suey in the Golden Gloves, winning all three rounds.
"In my fight I did well but I had an injury and felt like I needed to be a more fit," he said.
"I now head to the Queensland Championship in Brisbane and when I win that I'll be very happy."
Linkyn will compete against Gold Coast opponent Tye Stenhouse and is feeling excited ahead of the weekend.
"I haven't fought Tye before, but I have fought people from his club," Linkyn said.
"I have been training hard for this fight to get back in shape and fit.
"I have been running up to the top of the lookout every morning, about five hill sprints and conditioning myself."
Linkyn said if he won this match, he would qualify for the Australian Titles, however he was still underage to qualify for Worlds.
"My dream is to win the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics and I feel like i am on track," he said.
Head trainer of Mount Isa's Golden Oak boxing club, Viliame Temo said Linkyn was a very hard worker.
"Everyone can train in boxing and call themselves boxers but his dedication and training is making a huge difference," Mr Temo said.
"We have achieved our goal this year which was the National Golden Gloves and now we take the next step to the Under 19s State Championship.
"This just gives him the opportunity to represent Queensland ahead of the Nationals."
Mr Temo said given Mount Isa's remoteness and limitations it was amazing to have a local boxer reaching great heights.
"For someone here to go out there and achieve amazing results is something we should be very proud of," he said.
"Being from Mount Isa, somethings are very limited like sparing partners, but we do utilise other people in the club.
"But Linkyn getting two titles this year already, North Queensland Title and the National Golden Gloves is amazing results for our club."
