Where they can share their life experiences, their skills, and address those things that are of a particular concern.
Sometimes that place is a men's shed.
Gary Osman created that shed known as the Mates men's shed and has had a busy week with Suicide prevention day and R U OK? day taking place in as many days.
"We provide a safe friendly place for men of all ages to come and have a yarn and do activities of your own choice," Mr Osman said.
"All men are welcome, we talk men's stuff, we build things and have a cuppa and something to eat.
"The conversation always changes here, one week we talk bowel cancer, stroke, grievances and other weeks we talk about the weather," he said.
Mr Osman said they do help out men who may be going through a bit of adversity.
"We stay away from words like mental health and depression and use words like well-being and lifestyle," he said.
The Mates men's shed has over 25 activities to offer.
