The event was held in conjunction with the traditional bronco branding competition at the Camooweal Drovers Festival on the weekend of August 24-25 at the Drovers Camp.
Drought conditions kept some of the best competitors away like defending South Australian champion Tony Williams but there was still a quality field of Queensland and Northern Territory bronco branders to keep the crowd entertained.
Bronco Branding is Australia's traditional method of branding cattle in the outback.
The catcher on horseback ropes an unbranded beast from the mob.
A team of three then pull the catch to the bronco panel or a tree and apply the leg and head ropes to secure the beast to the ground.
