A beautiful spring day was on show for the Cloncurry Spring Races on Saturday September 14.
An excess of 700 locals walked through the gates at Cloncurry and District Race Club to enjoy a packed racing and social day trackside.

The Round Oak Minerals Maidan Plate 1000m was won by Ric McMahon riding Laundromat Joe, followed by Reason for Treason ridden by Rhiannon Payne and Clarion ridden by Dan Ballard.
Cloncurry Shire Council, Beat the Heat Benchmark 50 Handicap 1000m was won by Dan Ballard on Crystal Bear, followed by Ric McMahon on Temerity and Keith Ballard on Lady Chicago.
All Flex Australia Class 3 Plate 1200m was won by Dan Ballard on Believe It Or Not, followed by Keith Ballard on Brave Jewel and Jason Babarovich on Hunting.
The John Bulley and Judy Keyes Memorial Open Handicap 1200m winner was Ric McMahon on Le Drama, followed by Jason Babarovich on Snippy Strategic and Rhiannon Payne on Kapset.
