The touring under 9s side is made up of half Black Stars and Wanderers juniors and each player was presented with their new half and half jersey by coach Nakya Lewry last week.
Mr Lewry said the rugby league carnival will be a great experience for the young boys.
"All of the boys are really excited to travel away and play the game they love," Lewry said.
Mr Lewry said the trip would not have been possible without the coming together of each rugby league club and their sponsors.
"Black Stars originally wanted to send a team away but unfortunately didn't have enough players so we then teamed up with Wanderers, we even have a young player all the way from Cloncurry.
'All the sponsors have been incredible, the food, accommodation and travel expenses are all covered," he said.
There are a total of 80 teams competing in the 2019 Paul Bowman Challenge from all over Queensland.
