A 45-year-old Mount Isa man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident on Friday September 20.

In Mount Isa Magistrates Court on Monday September 23, Paul James Marshall faced once charge each of attempted murder and threatening violence.
Mr Marshall's legal representative Jules Kefford was granted an adjournment to go through the material further with her client.
Mr Marshall will appear in Mount Isa Magistrates Court on Thursday September 26.
ABC earlier reported police officers were called to a motel on Marian Street at about 10.30pm Friday and found a 34-year-old man with stab wounds to his chest.
The 34-year-old is in a critical but stable condition in the Townsville Hospital.
