The invitation from Brad Beetson, the son of legendary Arthur Beetson, came at a time in need for Mount Isa junior rugby league as the local under 17s have been low on numbers and will not likely compete in the 2020 season.
The selected players had a fulfilling experience in Longreach giving their all in every match.
Brad Beetson said each game was played with passion.
"The games were a tough battle for every yard and left nothing for the faint-hearted," Beetson said.
"The courage shown from each and every player giving their all in an epic battle was an honourable and a true homage to the Beetson foundation."
An invitation was extended to Mount Isa player Ezekiel Thimble Barlow to join Brad's side in the up and coming Murri carnival held in Redcliffe from October 1 to 5.
Brad said he was impressed with Ezekiel's toughness.
