A loud bang was heard after the Q400 plane landed resulting in a more than usual bumpy ride and a busted tyre.
As a result the plane was grounded.
A Qantas spokesman said upon landing, the aircraft, a Q400 suffered a split tyre.
"Each landing gear on the Q400 is fitted with two wheels and the other tyre remained in working order," a Qantas spokesperson said.
Qantas confirmed no one was injured during the flight and that the plane has now returned to flying.
"Engineers inspected the aircraft and it has returned service.
"Passengers were bussed to Mount Isa and re-accommodated on another aircraft."
Qantas said it was sorry for the disruption.
