This year, the Mount Isa PCYC received funding from the Queensland Family and Child Commission to host a collaborative event with community partners to celebrate and promote the importance of child protection in our community.
PCYC hosted the 2019 Free Family Fun Night to celebrate this important week in the calendar.
This event was held on Friday, September 13 in the new PCYC Youth Zone in the suburb of Pioneer.
The focus on the event was the art project where young people were asked to provide a colourful hand print with their name on a banner.
Community partners included Young People Ahead, Daniel Morcombe Foundation, Hit 102.5, Gidgee Healing, Save the Children, Rotary Club Mount Isa, Headspace, Community Connect, Centrcare, Mount Isa Youth Housing and Reintegration Services, DV Connect, QPS and Australian Army.
