They played the morning game at Captain Cook Oval on Saturday against Western Bulls.
The Bulls won the toss and elected to bowl. The gamble did not pay off as the Black Stars made a big score of 217 runs in their 20 overs.
Trent Cameron top scored for the Starries with 58 runs and Ben Spooner backed him up with a solid 38.
The Bulls fell around 60 runs short in the chase.
W. Hall made 52 while Narine made 42 not out as they finished on 162 with the wickets shared around.
In the second game of the season, defending premiers Cavaliers batted first against Panthers at Captain Cook Oval.
After being 2/93 at first drinks they went on to score 205 runs.
Panthers fell short in the run chase making 178 runs.
Cavs won by 25 runs to take the points.
This weekend Panthers play Black Stars at 10am.
In the afternoon game it's Cavaliers v Western Bulls at 2pm.
