The Commerce North West Corporate Challenge Dragon Boat Regatta is run in correlation with the Lake Moondarra Fishing Classic weekend.
The dragon boat racing will be on Saturday, October 26.
Commerce North West is urging people to lock the date into your calendar and grab your mates, work buddies or sporting and fitness teams to have a go on the day and then stay on after the comp and enjoy the fireworks in what is the Fishing Classic's 21st anniversary weekend.
A dragon boat team requires 8-10 rowers plus a drummer and a helm to steer the boat.
The dragon boat Corporate Challenge is open to all for an entry fee of $200.
You have the chance to more than recoup that money with prize money a thousand dollars up for grabs,
The winning team will walk away with $600 while the second placed team will get their fee back with a prize of $200.
There is also a consolation prize of $100 for the third placed team and a bonus $100 for the team with the best uniforms on the day.
Training with the North West Canoe Club has begun and paddling for the month of October is free.
Turn up at the Lake 3.30pm the next two Saturdays to go on the water at 4pm.
