This year will mark the 30th anniversary of the Apex Rock Pop Mime show where kids from all over the region perform to a humongous crowd of proud parents.
The event will be held at Tony White Oval on Friday October 18.
Event organiser Fred Frost said this year there was 15 acts performing on the night and it will go for about two and a half hours.
"We have three teams coming from Cloncurry and one from School of the Air and of course all of the Mount Isa schools. There will be roughly 450 performers ranging from juniors all the way to lower secondary," Mr Frost said.
Mr Frost said with this year being the 30th anniversary they were doing a few things differently.
"We are inviting anyone who performed in the first event to come back up on stage and maybe have a very small interview on the night, we would like to hear how it has changed over the years," he said.
Mr Frost praised the work of those who made the night possible.
"There's over six months preparation that goes into the night and a big shout out must go to the teachers and parents who made all the costumes," he said.
Mr Frost also said Apex may be a small club but it puts on one of the largest events in the North West.
Gates open at 5:30pm with the first performance at 7pm.
Entry is $3 per person and $10 per family.
