The former annual event which used to take place at the Mount Isa Civic Centre for 26 years will relocate to Buchanan Park from October 26-27.
President of Mount Isa community markets Necia Shonhan said the fair had to be cancelled the few years due to lack of funding.
Ms Shonhan said this year they were introducing a new concept.
"This year we have opened it up to collectors as well," Ms Shonhan said.
Ms Shonhan said they were looking forward to having painters, potters, wood workers as well as quilters, and knitters. It could even be a swap meet at the event.
Ms Shonhan said they had their work cut out for them this year and there was still more to be done.
"We have worked extra hard this year to get the event back up and running. We are still after more people who might be interested in running food stalls, so get in touch," she said.
In the past the event has seen up to 3000 visitors spread across the weekend.
